Having car batteries or alternators diagnosed and fixed can be
unnecessarily expensive, both sit firmly in the realm of DIY.
Replacing an alternator can cost up to $300, when in fact all that
may need to be replaced is a $20 voltage regulator. The As
You Go Alternator / Battery Monitor will help you diagnose
the source of your car’s electrical problems and potentially save
you a lot of money.
As You Go Alternator / Battery Monitor simply
plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter socket and will present you
with alternator and battery status. On the left side is the
alternator status indicating if it’s charging the battery at too
high a voltage (red LED >14.8V), Normal (green LED 13.4-14.75V)
or too low (yellow LED).
